Mark 1.14-28
* Jesus announces the kingdom
* Jesus calls men to be fishers of men
* Jesus teaches with authority
* Jesus casts out a demon
* Jesus is recognized as "the Holy One of God"
They were all amazed, so that they debated
among themselves, saying, "What is this?
A new teaching with authority! He commands
even the unclean spirits, and they obey him.
Immediately the news about him spread everywhere
into all the surrounding district of Galilee.
Mark 1.27-28
* Jesus is amazing!
* He causes debate. His influence and presence is unmistakeable.
* The news about Jesus spreads--people are talking. He is an event to be noticed.
* Jesus has authority to command even demons and they obey him and his word.
