New Forensic Report on Planned Parenthood Videos

Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) has released a forensic report on the Planned Parenthood videos that have been taken by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP).  The ADF blog has a post entitled New Forensic Report Flushes Planned Parenthood's "Highly Edited" Talking Point which describes the summary details of a forensic analysis done by Coalfire--a company that specializes in digital forensic analysis.  Here are a few excerpts from the ADF blog post:
But yesterday ADF released the results of a new forensic report that debunks this talking point. Coalfire, one of the country’s most trusted digital forensic analysis companies, released a report indicating the undercover videos recorded by the Center for Medical Progress are “authentic and show no evidence of manipulation.”
Forensic analysts were granted access to all of the raw investigated footage recorded by the Center for Medical Progress and checked it against the full length videos posted on the CMP YouTube account. They found the only events not depicted in the publicly available videos fell into five common categories: commuting, waiting, adjusting recording equipment, meals, and restroom breaks. All of the edited content was “non-pertinent” to the actual investigation.
Later the post states:
Even Planned Parenthood’s own paid for “analysis” confirms that there is “no evidence of audio manipulation” and that it did not reveal “widespread evidence of substantive video manipulation.” But Planned Parenthood and its media allies have ignored this fact, focusing instead on their suspicion of the missing parts of the full videos available on YouTube. And now we have confirmation of just how ridiculous this fixation has been.
Be sure to read the full blog post by ADF.  The full report from Coalfire is linked to from the ADF blog post as well.

Planned Parenthood: What Would the Prophet Micah Say?

And I said,
Hear now, heads of Jacob
and rulers of the house of Israel.
Is it not for you to know justice?
You who hate good and love evil,
who tear off their skin from them
and their flesh from their bones,
who eat the flesh of my people,
strip off their skin from them,
break their bones
and chop them up as for the pot
and as meat in a kettle.
Micah 3.1-3

Planned Parenthood and Infanticide

I know the trendy new term is "post-birth abortion" but let's use the old term of "infanticide."  There are those people that would like to keep the discussion rarefied and abstract.  This was the case a year ago when "ethicists" wrote an essay defending infanticide--see HERE, HERE, and HERE.  Now here's a video with a representative of Planned Parenthood standing before a Florida legislature unable and unwillingly to speak with clarity about what to do with a live child which is the result of a "botched abortion."  Listen as Alisa LaPolt Snow attempts to dodge the implications of child killing.  Also notice that in the end she has to speak of "logistics" (read "convenience") to justify inactivity that would directly cause the death of a baby. Weep for the blindness and be angered at the callousness of our culture.

I first saw this video at The Weekly Standard.

Karen Handel and "Planned Bullyhood"

There is a fascinating interview with Karen Handel about her new book Planned Bullyhood: The Truth Behind the Headlines about the Planned Parenthood Funding Battle with Susan G. Komen for the Cure over at Christianity Today.  The lead-in to the interview is:
Karen Handel's most harrowing assignment came shortly after she started her job as the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation's senior vice president for public policy. Asked to discontinue the breast cancer fighter's longstanding funding partnership with Planned Parenthood, Handel found herself squarely within the abortion provider's crosshairs. As a steadfast pro-lifer and a former deputy chief of staff to a pro-life Republican governor, she provided Planned Parenthood a convenient symbolic target. When her employer bowed before the onslaught and agreed to restore the funding, Handel resigned in protest.
In her new book, Planned Bullyhood (Howard Books), Handel recounts the events that precipitated her departure from the Komen foundation. CT editorial resident Melissa Steffan spoke with Handel about the reasoning behind Komen's breakup with Planned Parenthood, the urgency of reckoning with the abortion giant's full range of political activities, and the faith that empowered her to stand resolutely by her moral convictions.

Planned Parenthood and Gendercide

There is a new video released by Live Action showing a Planned Parenthood worker helping a woman pursue an abortion because she doesn't want a girl.  Planned Parenthood officially speaks against sex selection abortions but they certainly won't refuse to do them.

40 Days for Abortion?!

Planned Parenthood is attempting to respond to the 40 Days for Life campaigns.  Here is a post from Life News.

Planned Parenthood

Sets Up 40 Days of

Prayer for Abortion

by Steven Ertelt | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 4/10/12 7:44 PM
A local Planned Parenthood abortion business in California is copycatting the 40 Days for Lifecampaign, which recently resulted in saving the lives of more than 700 unborn children from abortion. The abortion business has set up its own 40 Days of Prayer for the local abortion center.
“We trust you to decide about your sexuality, having your children, and planning your family,” says a flier promoting the Humbolt County Clergy for Choice event. “We are religious leaders who value all human life.  We accept that religions differ about when life begins. We are here to help.”
“We believe that human life is holy. That’s why we believe in your right to choose to be a parent or not,” the pro-abortion religious leaders continue. “It can be helpful to talk with friends you trust, with licensed counselors, and with whatever religious person you choose.  Humboldt County Clergy are available to talk with you about the spiritual aspects of choice.  Find out more by calling Six Rivers Planned Parenthood.”
“Humboldt County Clergy for Choice invite you to set aside time with your family and community to support women and reproductive justice for 40 days from March 18th through April 27th,” they say.
The flyer promotes specific prayers for abortion for each day:
* “Day 1: Today we pray for women for whom pregnancy is not good news, that they know they have choices.”
* “Day 34: Today we give thanks for abortion escorts who guide women safely through hostile gauntlets of protestors.”
*”Day 36 Today we pray for the families we’ve chosen, May they know the blessing of choice.”
* “Day 38:  Today we pray for a cloud of gentleness to surround every abortion facility. May everyone feel calm and loving.”
* “Day 40: Today we give thanks and celebrate that abortion is still safe and legal.”
Some of the local “churches” participating in the pro-abortion prayer event include: Temple Beth El in Eureka, Humboldt Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Bayside, St. Francis in Fortuna, Old Town Gazebo in Eureka, and Arcata United Methodist.
